Hossam Diab is a veteran Egyptian photojournalist and visual storyteller, born in Cairo in 1956. Since starting his career at Al-Ahram in 1977, he has covered major regional and global events, including the Lebanese Civil War, the Gulf Wars, the famine in the Horn of Africa, eight African Nations Cups, and two FIFA World Cups.

His career spans roles as Photo Editor-in-Chief at Al-Masry Al-Youm, Photo Editor at Ahram Sports, and Director of Visual Content at ONA Media Group. Diab has won multiple national and international awards, exhibited worldwide, and served as a juror for prestigious photography competitions. He has also trained hundreds of photographers, shaping a new generation of Egyptian photojournalists, and is Honorary President for life of the Egyptian Press Photographers Association.
